Pray, Give and Go
As part of the Every Nation family of churches and ministries, we exist to honour God by establishing Christ-centred, socially responsible churches and campus ministries in every nation. We are called to fulfil the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20)and love one another as God loves us and as we love God and one of the ways we do this is by cultivating a culture of outreach events and missions in our communities and abroad.
What does this really mean and what does it look like?
Being part of an outreach or mission means investing your time and often finances to go somewhere and share God’s love. As a spirit filled ministry we believe in the truth and supernatural power of God and have created platforms for people to go out and share Christ on the streets. Our outreach programmes such as the Hospital Outreach, Treasure Hunting and “Just Do It” evangelism (on campus) are open to any individuals who are interested in the supernatural and have a heart for the lost (which should be all of us).
A famous Christian song has the lyrics “Break my heart for what breaks yours” and when we think about those words we think about the countless people in the world who don’t know Jesus and are living in darkness. The Great Commission makes it clear that reaching out to the lost is not a suggestion it’s a command that God gave and we should obey and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those that haven’t heard it. So we GO because of love for God, love for the lost and the desire to be obedient.
Going on missions doesn’t just change the lives of those you are reaching out to, it changes your life.
